Whether you’re thinking about becoming pregnant or you’re already expecting, you deserve experienced, compassionate care and support. At Jefferson Health, our OB/GYN physicians and midwives ensure our patients receive exactly the care they want and need. For patients who develop complications during pregnancy, we also collaborate with our maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) colleagues who are experts in high-risk pregnancies. With our team-based approach, our patients have access to the highest quality care from pregnancy planning, through delivery and beyond.

Family-centered maternity care

We provide quality care for you and your infant in a family-centered environment that allows for your partner or support person to be included in your care plan. We encourage rooming-in to enhance bonding and breastfeeding — and provide sleep chairs to ensure your support person has a comfortable place to rest during your stay. We are also proud to have received prestigious international recognition as Baby-Friendly Designated birth facilities by the Baby-Friendly® Hospital Initiative (BFHI), an international breastfeeding education and support program sponsored by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund.
